Carolina Forest High School is hosting the 6th Annual Beach Run Invitational. Last year's event boasted 21 schools and over 800 athletes from four states. The event is held at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium, which is located less than a mile from the Atlantic Ocean in beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. We have made two major changes to this year's Beach Run. First, we have added the 4x200m relay as a scoring event. Secondly, we have added the hammer throw as an exhibition/nonscoring event. This meet has quickly become a highly competitive track and field invitational. The 2010 addition already has commitments from schools from SC, GA, NC, VA, NJ, KY, WV, OH and CO! We hope you bring your talented athletes to represent your schools so that the tradition will continue. We look forward to seeing you at the beach!
